FACE is the ultimate source for next-gen beauty and wellness products, cutting-edge beauty bio-optimization treatments, and stunning results—without invasive surgical procedures. I collaborated with proprietress Desiree Holman to create an authentic and cohesive brand identity, unifying messaging on her site and across all digital platforms.
As a body-positive, aging-positive, gender-inclusive, and judgment-free clinic, FACE emphasizes inclusivity and self-care, empowering visitors through education and personalized treatments. FACE is committed to creating a respectful, warm, emotionally and scientifically intelligent experience for clientele with a femme-centric vibe that is both sophisticated and accessible.
In collaboration with BrandRX, we focused on crafting content that educates the FACE audience and resonates on an emotional level to deliver an inspiring brand experience. The results of this nuanced approach to brand work were more than just website content. Together, we succeeded in elevating FACE as a pioneer in today’s beauty and wellness space, welcoming the FACE audience to engage deeply and personally with their beauty and wellness journey.
FACE EDITORIAL
I designed and executed FACE Editorial—a highly strategic, long-term blog content strategy to maximize brand awareness, search rankings, and site visitors.
In shaping the content strategy voice for Editorial, I began with a deep dive into keyword data. I surfaced topics that both resonate with the FACE audience and align with core values to grow brand visibility and engagement.
Supervising a team of talented beauty and wellness writers, we created a collection of engaging and informative articles across a range of topics while maintaining fidelity and commitment to brand values and messaging.
Each piece of content aligns seamlessly with FACE’s vision and mission to engage and empower our audience with thoughtful optimizations that echo the brand’s authentic vision. As a result, we saw a marked increase in site traffic that helped establish FACE as a trustworthy and forward-thinking authority in the beauty and wellness space.
FACE SHOP
In collaboration with BrandRX and Elizabeth Pishal, we designed the FACE Shop to blend seamlessly with the main site to offer a simple and intuitive shopping experience. The shop features carefully curated categories, allowing for ease of navigation and discovery while aligning with high-value search terms and providing value to shoppers.
We optimized each product page with headers, URLs, and product descriptions designed to boost rankings in search results, and we did the same with each product category and dedicated brand page. Detailed, SEO-optimized product descriptions highlight benefits, ingredients, and usage instructions, engaging customers and helping them make informed decisions.
A clean, user-friendly layout displays products with high-quality images, pertinent info, and filters to streamline the shopping process. Dedicated brand pages provide immersive experiences with brand stories, featured products, and exclusive offers, fostering personal connections and brand loyalty. This strategic approach ensures a visually appealing and functionally superior shopping experience, tailored to meet the evolving needs of FACE customers.
KOKKO WELLNESS
Kokko Wellness is a contemporary acupuncture and herbal medicine clinic offering a grounded, deeply supportive healing experience. Their founder wanted a website that could hold the full expression of the brand. The feel is modern, warm, and rooted in the wisdom traditions that shape their work.
I developed a refined brand voice, restructured their content, and crafted a website that balances approachability with expertise. The language emphasizes calm, clarity, and embodied well-being while making each service easy to navigate and search-friendly.
On the SEO side, I reorganized their site architecture, improved metadata, and built out keyword-informed service pages to strengthen local visibility across locations in both Berkeley and Walnut Creek. The result is a cohesive, intuitive online experience that reflects Kokko’s philosophy and supports steady, sustainable growth.
Stretch Therapy Massage
Matthew Madden-Smith, a certified massage therapist, uses a proprietary massage technique to offer clients immediate, lasting pain relief. We needed his business name to communicate his distinctive style of bodywork. Plus, I wanted his website to capture the embodied experience he offers clients while aligning with highly searched terms.
Using high-value keywords chosen to resonate with Matthew’s audience, I optimized his site to improve online visibility and rankings while speaking directly to the emotional needs of his clients. I used language to establish expertise, trustworthiness, and safety. In collaboration with BrandRX, we enhanced this effect with a healing color palette and refined but human imagery.
The final result is a conversion-worthy online experience highlighting Matthew’s singular skills and approach while developing a secure, authentic connection with existing and future clients.
